Yongshuo was born in Baoding, Hebei, China. He received his B.S. degree in Hebei Agricultural University in 2010, and M.S. degree in Nanjing Agricultural University in 2013. Since then, Yongshuo moved to Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences and got his Ph.D. degree in 2017. In his PhD, he mainly worked in the area of biosynthesis, regulation and transportation of natural products, including triterpenoids and alkaloid. In 2018, he joined the Metabolic Engineering Laboratory at MIT as a postdoc fellow.
Yongshuo’s research interests focus on the natural products biosynthesis and metabolic engineering, and construction of yeast chassis, especially isoprenoids.
