Xuecong Cen (Cathy)
Visiting Student
cenxc18@mit.edu
Xuecong was born in Ningbo, Zhejiang, China. She received her B.S. degree in Zhejiang University in 2018. Now she is a PhD candidate in Department of Chemical Engineering, Tsinghua University at Beijing, China. In 2022, she joined the Metabolic Engineering Laboratory at MIT as a visiting student.
Xuecong’s research interests focus on the metabolic engineering of E. coli to produce high-valued diols, especially 1,5-pentanediol and 2,3-butanediol.
